Columbia Pesticide Profile
P2200 Columbia Pesticide Profile
The Columbia Pesticide Profile is our most cost-effective, comprehensive screen for food and vegetation. It detects
approximately 240 triazine, pyrethroid, organochlorine, organonitrogen and
organophosphorous type pesticides. We have
successfully applied the Columbia Profile to a wide variety of food and
vegetation samples. Rarely, difficult to analyze matrices may be encountered in
which it is not possible to determine a few of the compounds, and/or, the
detection limit may be increased. Typically, this might occur in the case of low
moisture (high solids) commodities which contain many natural sulfur or nitrogen
compounds. In any case, a Method Detection Limit (MDL) list is issued with each
lab report showing which pesticides are included in the analysis and their
respective detection limits. Due to the large number
of pesticides in this profile, the list is available below in PDF
format. This list is current as of January 2011, however, we expect to add additional pesticides to the profile occasionally.
The MDL's will also be decreasing as the GC/MS/MS is more fully utilized. The Columbia Pesticide Profile is designed for food or vegetation samples
only. We also have large multi-residue profiles available for soil (P2205) and
water (P2206). Please call us for more information, if interested.

As of January 2011 an expanded Columbia Pesticide Profile is available. Initially,
it includes approximately 285 compounds, however, we expect this
number to grow as we continue to take full advantage of our HPLC time-of-flight
MS. The carbamate pesticides (profile P2950) are included within the expanded
profile, along with a number of other pesticides that have historically been
analyzed separately.
